For the past four years, the Mizner Park Downtown Drive has been the spot to go for Dads on Fathers Day. Put together by Russ Gagliano of Russ G Eventsto help raise money for the South Florida Chapter of Make A Wish, this car show has grown each year. ALL of the proceeds from the event are donated to the charity. Russ has been an active promoter of car shows in the South Florida area for decades and also owns a restoration shop. What a lot of people didn’t know was that Russ was also donating his time for the event as well.
Unfortunately, as everyone in the car community down here knows, Russ suffered a stroke earlier this year and though he is fighting like the old marine he is to get back on his feet, he wasn’t fit to put together this years show. But not to let all that his father has done, Russ Gagliano III, his son, stepped up to the plate for his dad to put on the show. Russ Jr. isn’t any newcomer to the entertainment business, he runs his own business Polynesian Proud Productions which put on Polynesian shows. You know those wild shows with hula dancers and guys who dance and whirl with flaming torches? His show is top notch and worth checking out if your in Fort Lauderdale. They appear at a number of local restaurants and are available for parties.
Yesterdays show was a huge success. Despite the 90 degree temperatures which had everyone including our crew sweating, the people of Boca Raton came out in abundance to see the cars and enjoy the many restaurants that were in Mizner Park. As for our crew, we enjoyed Max’s Grill. If you are in Mizner Park be sure to stop in there for lunch and order the Creme Brulee. It was amazing and should not be missed. Be sure to tell them Car Show TV sent you.
Car Show TV was on hand to shoot our show and even brought out our newest RoboCam robotic crane to shoot some shots. Be sure to look for the full show on our Roku channel next month.
Russ Jr. did a fantastic job along with lots of other volunteers who all came out to make this car show a huge success.
